There’s some major lingering questions ‘Stranger Things’ needs to address in Season 2.

Since Dennis Miller hosted the very first MTV Movie Awards back in 1992, the music channel’s annual award ceremony has been something of a fun dalliance into a world where the artistic merit of a movie is less important than its popular clout. This year marks a couple of big changes for the format: not only did the award show change its official name  —  it is now known as the MTV Movie & TV Awards  —  it also has become arguably the most inclusive award show to date, honoring titles like Moonlight, Get Out, and Jane the Virgin alongside its stalwart categories like Best Kiss and Best Villain.

Stranger Things would not prove near so successful without its core cast of wide-eyed youths, whose continued adorableness outside the show will surely extend to Season 2. Case in point, watch the young adventurers’ glee at their own Season 2 Super Bowl spot, as we start the long countdown to Halloween.

Stranger Things has plenty of mysteries left to unfurl in Season 2, perhaps foremost among them the return of Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven. One casting call even had fans buzzing that Eleven’s predecessors (or successors) might join the fray, though a surprisingly direct source now refutes the claim.

Whatever holiday you celebrate in December, it comes with a lot of pressure. If you get that special someone the wrong gift, watch out. Things can get pretty ugly. That’s particularly true for pop-culture fans. They know what they want, and they probably have most of it already. Perhaps you know someone like this. Perhaps you are someone like this. (Perhaps I am someone like this.)

It was apparent to anyone on another planet that Stranger Things wore its ‘80s influence on its sleeve, and it’s only fitting that Season 2 pay back some of those homages. So it is, that original Goonies star Sean Astin of course joins the cast, along with Paul Reiser and more.

As if all the Halloween costumes weren’t enough, Netflix is going to make sure Stranger Things stays on your mind. Case in point, a new video (is it still a viral promo after the fact?) teases the local news reaction to Barb’s famous disappearance, while Sheriff Hopper gets ready to go back to work.
