Being from Wisconsin, it's no surprise that I love me some cheese. And the most cheese here in the Land of 10,000 was on display Sunday in Minneapolis!

The traveling cheese festival, Cheesetopia, made a stop in Minnesota this year. It's put on by the group Wisconsin Cheese Originals, which is a trade group that promotes the many artisanal cheeses that are made in Wisconsin. (They don't call it 'America's Dairyland' for nothing, you know!)

There were also some great-tasting cheeses and other artisanal products from Minnesota featured at the festival, too-- like the incredible cheeses from the Caves at Fairibault.

Cheesetopia took place this year at Aria, a very cool event venue located in the warehouse district in Minneapolis. Tickets for this year's festival sold out in just a few hours, so a big shout-out to my wife, Katie, for scoring us a pair!

It was a great time-- and we were able to buy several of our favorites to bring back home to Rochester, while sampling all the interesting cheese the vendors had on display. Unlimited wine, beer and soda were also included with your ticket, to make it a very fun time, indeed.

I'm not sure if Cheesetopia is coming back to Minnesota next year-- it moves around each year, and is sometimes held in Madison or Milwaukee-- but if you like cheese check it out HERE. And check out my pictures...
