A letter to an advice columnist is going viral because...well...it reveals the worst in-laws ever. And the columnist just goes OFF on the in-laws.

From Ask Polly, the letter writer said...

I have a very severe allergy to mushrooms. I carry an EpiPen, and I have been hospitalized multiple times because of exposure to this food.

When she and her husband were just dating, he brought her home for dinner and told mom/dad about her allergy.

Somehow, they manage to find a way to add mushrooms to almost everything.

Like the time Mother-In-Law made a special plate of mushrooms to pass around saying, "I would've liked to add mushrooms directly to the salad, but SOMEBODY has problems with it."

They even made mashed potatoes with mushroom powder. Ugh. And worst of all, her husband says they were NEVER this mushroomy before.

It has been going on for so long, the woman and her husband don't go to holiday dinners and stuff...which causes the husband's sister to call.

...(she was) angry about the face we would not be attending a party at her parent's house. Yelling that I was overreacting and that mushrooms are "not a poison."

Worst of all she feels guilty because she thinks she caused the problems.

Polly responded telling her she should not feel guilty, "the cause of this rift is TRULY TERRIBLE HUMAN BEINGS." But Polly said SO SO much more. Really, its a delicious rant you will want to read. Out loud. To everyone at work.
