The Major League Baseball season gets underway here in the #BoldNorth in less than 48 hours as the Twins open up their season against the reigning American League Central Champion Cleveland Indians Thursday at Target Field. For one Minnesotan Thursday is a day he will remember, as Crosby's own Nick Anderson, recently made the opening day roster for the Miami Marlins.

Before he was a Marlin, Anderson was in the Minnesota Twins farm system until last year when he was traded for infielder Brian Schaleswho was assigned to play for the Rochester Red Wings March 25th. According to the Marlin Maniac "In four minor league seasons, Anderson is 16-7 with a 2.25 ERA, 232 K’s in 182 2/3 innings, and a 0.94 WHIP."

Anderson's future path wasn't always decided for him as he spent time playing independent baseball, then came back to the Twin Cities to play with a few of my pal's on the Tri-City Shark, before catching on with a Major League baseball team.
