Jake Owen's song When I Was Jack (And You Were Diane) first got me thinking about the vintage Chevy Cheyenne, and as luck would have it, there's a dealer right here in Minnesota that can hook you up with one!

Well, KIND of hook you up with one, that is. It'll look like the classic truck, anyway. In case you're not familiar, Jake's latest hit song references the once-familiar truck ("Do the memories take you back... Six packs and a Chevy Cheyenne... back when I was Jack, and you were Diane...") that was a popular version of the C/K line of Chevy trucks in the late 70's and early 80's.

This Chevy truck site says Cheyenne edition was noted for its familiar, two-colored paint scheme and white wheels. We didn't have one when I was a kid, but seeing pictures of them sure does take me back to that era (even though I wasn't Jack.)

As it turns out, though, a lot of people really miss that throwback trim package Jake is singing about here in 2018. So much, that is, that a southern Minnesota Chevy dealer is offering a package that'll make your current truck look just like the vintage Cheyenne from 35 years ago.

This story from The Drive details how  Blake Greenfield Chevrolet Buick in Wells, Minnesota (about 90 miles southwest of Rochester) is having a lot of success mocking up current trucks in the style of the classic Cheyenne. The story notes the package includes "a two-tone paint job, old-school white steel wheels with white-lettered BFGoodrich tires, the retro Cheynne Super-10 badging, and a high-clearance front bumper."

It looks kinda cool-- and definitely retro. Of course, it'll run you nearly $6,000, but if you really want to be taken back to those six-packs and a Chevy Cheyenne, they can hook you up!
