Every year, teacher's send out a "homework policy" to parents to make sure they understand what the class expectations are.

Some teachers require more homework than others, but this teacher is taking a different route entirely. NO HOMEWORK - AT ALL.

Mrs. Brandy Young, a second grade teacher in Texas, went viral this week with this photo of her homework policy. She says honestly, "Research has been unable to prove that homework improves student performance. Rather, I ask that you spend your evenings doing things that are proven to correlate with student success. Eat dinner as a family, read together, play outside, and get your child to bed early."

Amen to that! I never remember having too much homework in the 2nd grade. Sure, the work gets harder the higher grade level you advance to - but no second grader should spend even an hour on homework, in my opinion. I'm applauding Mrs. Young for this choice!
