Three Armed Men Force Their Way Into Rochester Home
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Three armed men burst into a Rochester residence late Tuesday night looking for money but left empty-handed.
The incident happened at the Village Green Townhomes complex along 41st St NW around 10:30 pm.
Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says two boys - 12 and 14-years-old - were home alone for a short period when they heard a knock at the door. When the boys asked who was there, a man gave a name and said he was a friend of their father.
Moilanen says as one of the boys was calling his father, three men forced their way in and “asked where the money was.” The men rummaged through the residence and then left.
Moilanen says two of the men had guns and the third a crowbar.
He says the two boys were not hurt but were “visibly upset” when officers arrived. The boys described the intruders as black and two had their faces covered.
