Sports fans, you have probably heard the name Tim Tebow before. I'm not going to lie, when he was with the Denver Broncos, that's when I really fell in love with him. He has a huge heart and is an all-around good person!

Tebow started the Tim Tebow Foundation which is centered around helping kiddos. One of the big events each year is called Night to Shine. It is a prom for folks with special needs that are held around the country on the same night. Every person that attends the event is crowned King or Queen and each one is different and unique. It takes a lot of volunteers to make this event happen, but it's super rewarding to be apart of. I was able to do a news story on it when I was on television. That night touched my heart like never before.

This year's event is happening on February 7th, 2020 and there are eight locations in Minnesota. There are three locations close to us. Those are:

  • Crown of Life Luthern Church & St. Croix Lutheran Academy (West St. Pual)
  • First Lutheran Church (Albert Lea)
  • St. Michael's Lutheran Church (Bloomington)

The website says this is the sixth year that the event is going on nationwide. That night, Tebow will make a stop at a few of the locations, but the ones he can't make it to, he has a video for the folks to watch. The smiles on those folks' faces are priceless. It's a great event to be apart of!
