Today Is National TV Dinner Day

It was on this day back in 1953 that the Swanson Company sold its first 'TV Dinner'. When was the last time you had a TV dinner?

It's been a while for me. And I remember when they came out, you had to peel back the cherries jubilee dessert and the mashed potatoes so they would bake more evenly. And actually, the chicken was pretty decent to eat.

Now, you can just pop them in the microwave and enjoy. And the tray is plastic, so cleanup is easy. I always volunteer to 'do the dishes' when that happens.
