Truck Parade Will Make Its Way Through Southeast Minnesota This Saturday
Last year, an essential worker appreciation convoy made its way through Southeast Minnesota to honor all of the essential workers throughout the area for what they did during the COVID-19 pandemic last year.
The parade is back for 2021, according to a Facebook Post from Bill Funk Trucking, the convoy will start in Canton on Saturday, June 12th. The convoy will then make its way through Harmony, Preston, Fountain, Wykoff, Spring Valley, Grand Meadow, Stewartville, Eyota, St. Charles and Chatfield. You will want to mark your calendars or set a reminder in your phone so you remember to get outside and check it out.
The convoy will start at 11:30 a.m.
You can see some great photos from last year's convoy right here. This year, as in the past, they will do their best to pass by care centers and assisted living facilities as they are able.
I actually met the convoy on the road last year and I was able to just pull over and see the parade as it made its way down the road. It was so cool to see all of the trucks make their way by with American Flags attached to their rigs and their families riding along. It was very cool to see!
If you get a chance to check out the parade, I highly recommend it!
Have you seen this charming house in Wabasha? It has an amazing view of the Mississippi River. We have some great photos of the home below, check them out!
