By now many of us know the Twins got swept by the New York Yankees last night at Target Field 5-1. But in the frenzy before the first pitch, a bunch of Twin Cities media stations was looking at capturing the buzz that was encapsulating Target Field before the first pitch. It just seems that maybe they were confused as to who was playing. Two different stations listed the Twins as the Vikings.

In a social media post that was circulating last evening on Facebook, Jason Hak captured two different screen grabs from two news outlets in the Twin Cities showing the graphics switching out the team name Twins for the Vikings. Check it out.

Maybe that was a preface for what was to come.

Even 'Vikings' relief pitcher Trevor May had a little fun with it on Twitter after someone sent him the screengrab of the guffaw.

Maybe the Vikings would have had a better shot at taking the Yankees?

Now that the season has wrapped up for the boys of summer, what's next? Snow apparently.

Former MLB pitcher and Twin Phil Hughes summed up Twins fan's feelings in one tweet.

At least the Gophers are 5-0.
