New Valleyfair Perk Delivers Unlimited Thrills Nationwide
Valleyfair just dropped one of the biggest theme park deals of the decade, and thrill-seekers across Minnesota are buzzing about the thrills this perk delivers, not just here in the North Star State but across the country.
Valleyfair has been Minnesota's lone amusement park for nearly 50 years, standing tall along Highway 169 in Shakopee since it first opened in 1976. The park features more than 75 rides, including eight roller coasters and Planet Snoopy, which features 15 children’s rides. It is also home to Soak City, a waterpark filled with slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and children’s water features.
Last summer, Valleyfair announced that it had new owners, as a merger deal between Cedar Fair and Six Flags officially closed, which means Valleyfair has been a part of the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation for a year already. And to celebrate, Valleyfair just announced a whopper of a deal.

According to a Valleyfair release, if you buy a 2026 Valleyfair season pass, not only will you get unlimited access to Valleyfair *and* more than 40 Six Flags Entertainment Corporation parks for all of 2026, but for the remainder of 2025 as well. This special anniversary deal will be available starting July 31st and will run through September 1st, Valleyfair said.
Valleyfair said that all 2026 Valleyfair Gold Passes purchased or renewed from July 31 through September 1 will include this exclusive benefit as part of its ‘MVP (Most Valuable Pass) Sale.’ The sale will feature:
- Lowest pricing of the year, plus free parking
- 2026 Gold Pass purchases will include one bonus 2025 Bring-A-Friend FREE ticket
- Bring-A-Friend tickets are valid through the end of the 2025 season at the park where the pass was purchased
- Guests must purchase by September 1 to receive these offers. Prices increase on September 2.

- 288 roller coasters with 133 miles of track
- 282 family rides
- 970 water slides
- 234 pools
- More than 913 signature seasonal entertainment experiences at select locations, including fall fun like Fright Fest and Halloween Haunt, and winter celebrations like Holiday in the Park, WinterFest, and more.
Valleyfair opened for the 2025 season on May 10th, and so far this year has been much different than the 2024 season-- which got off to a bit of a wet start-- and not just on the park's Soak City water rides, either. The Valleyfair campus in Shakopee was inundated by rising flood waters from the Minnesota River in June 2024 and was forced to close several rides, as well as part of their parking area.
It was also forced to reschedule its popular 2024 Fourth of July fireworks display. Check out what things looked like in late June 2024.
This year, though, those waters are back in check, and Valleyfair is looking forward to celebrating its one-year anniversary as a part of the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation.
