While most people and media this week have been focused on President Donald Trump's rally taking place tonight at the Target Center, Vice President Mike Pence's visit to the #BoldNorth before the rally has taken a little bit of a backseat. Vice President Pence will be stopping in South Lakeville at Safety Signs for a private meet and greet before heading to Minneapolis for President Trump's 7 P.M. rally.

Vice President Pence will be joined during the private meet and greet by his wife. Safety Signs which according to this WCCO-TV article was founded in 1993 by Jay and Sue Blanchard. The Blanchards got a phone call last Friday asking them if it was alright if the Vice President and his wife could stop by.

According to WCCO-TV the Blanchard's have credited President Trump with helping to grow the business through the vibrant construction market currently.

According to the Safety Signs website, they are "the leading provider of Work Zone Traffic Control solutions in Minnesota."

Interestingly this according to Hometown Source is the second White House visit this year for Dakota County, as President Trump visited a Burnsville business in April for a roundtable discussion.

Traffic along I-35 in both directions will probably be a mess due to all the political figures in town between 3:30 and 9 P.M. tonight. One alternative to using I-35 would be to use Highway 13.
