If you've ever watched any episodes of Nicole Curtis's HGTV show, Rehab Addict, you know some of them have taken place here in Minnesota. So why is she now suing Minnesota's largest city?

I always thought it was cool to be watching HGTV's Rehab Addict and notice our familiar blue Minnesota license plates on various cars and trucks, or to be able to recognize the specific area or neighborhood where the episode was taking place.

That's because many of the homes featured in the show were located in Minneapolis. In fact, the show featured Minnesota homes so much, I thought Nicole maybe was a native Minnesotan herself. (And, come on, she even SOUNDS like she's from here, doesn't she?)

Turns out, though, she's not. She's from Detroit. And, it appears her days of featuring homes she's rehabbed here in Minnesota are over. I guess when you're involved in a lawsuit with the city of Minneapolis, the fun is pretty much done.

I won't go into all the details (you can read them all HERE, courtesy of Go-MN), but Nicole and Minneapolis are battling over... you guessed it... a rehab project (or lack of one, the city says) on another home.

Nicole opened up yesterday on her Twitter account about the lawsuit. And, this isn't the first time Minneapolis city officials have drawn her ire, either. A few years ago, she got into a Twitter war with Minneapolis mayor, Betsy Hodges, more or less about the city tearing down homes she though should have been preserved.

It'll be interesting to see how this suit is settled. But that's why she's taking Minnesota's largest city to court. And I wouldn't look for the Rehab Addict herself here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes anytime soon!
