Why Was Jacob Wetterling The #1 Trend On Twitter This Afternoon?

This afternoon, I noticed that Jacob Wetterling was the number one trending topic on Twitter. Now, we know why.

This case has the full attention of every Minnesotan, and Governor Mark Dayton chose to honor Jacob in a special way. According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, "Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton on Wednesday ordered the I-35 West bridge to be cast in blue light" for eleven days. So, from tomorrow until September 25th.

This is a really cool idea! We're also encouraged to use #11forJacob throughout the duration of this display, to honor him. The bridge is equipped with the lighting ability to do this, so that's why it was chosen.
