Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A new Rochester City Administrator could be selected Thursday.

The Rochester City Council is scheduled to interview the two finalists and then decide if one of them should be offered the job.

The two finalists are Heidi Nelson, the current city administrator in Maple Grove and Alison Zelms, now working as deputy city manager in Mankato.

Zelms is scheduled to meet with the council at 10:00 AM.

Nelson’s interview is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM. When that interview is finished, the council will decide what its next step will be. 

Current administrator Steve Rymer told the council in June he was going to resign for family reasons. He succeeded longtime administrator Steve Kvenvold in October 2017.
