The CFO of Macy's is blaming their lagging sales on today's millennial women. According to The Consumerist, she claims that women are too obsessed with their technology and aren't taking the time to put on makeup and that's keeping them from shopping at higher end stores like Macy's. Instead they are going to bargain stores where they don't need to worry about their makeup.

The CFO says her comments about women and makeup come from their market research.

Their angle for trying to gain millennial shoppers is to get them in to Macy's when they do their wedding registry and then get them addicted to their products once they get their wedding gifts.
