There are a lot of traffic lights in Rochester. Each one is designed to make traffic flow better. If it was not for the traffic light, we would have not have come upon the idea of having a signal for pedestrians to let them know it is safe to cross.

The traffic light is a crucial part of our everyday lives, even though it may be grueling and costly in gas, it is well worth the wait to keep everyone safe.

Some traffic lights take longer than others. I've actually timed some of them. When you want to turn left on the beltline from Broadway, it takes more than a minute to go through the entire cycle of the other lights.
