Back in the day, when juke-boxes had records and the music just didn't stop, it would have been cool to have had a silent record to select. Just for some peace and quiet.* But it is 2019, and maybe you just want some quiet at home instead.

Boom. This Kickstarter Project is for you. It is literally a record with no sound recorded. Just. Quiet. It's called Silent Meditation and the father/son combo running the Kickstarter says,

We are producing a 12" vinyl record with 20 minutes of complete silence on each side of the album. There's no narration or sound. You can use it for meditation or put it on whenever you want to enjoy twenty minutes of silence.

They met their fundraising goal on Kickstarter, so now, they're using the page to take orders. $20 a record. You can buy two for $32. And they definitely have a sense of humor.

Each side will contain 20 minutes of silence at 33 ⅓ RPM. At 45 RPM you can access the hidden feature, a shorter 15-minute meditation.  Note: this does not require a record player to be fully enjoyed. Technically, it doesn’t even require this record.

*My dad actually did this, way back in the '60s. Some students complained about the Beatles always playing in the juke-box, so he created Hush Records, and had a record pressed with silence and Silent Record Week was born (and is mentioned HERE (where you can buy a sweatshirt worn by the manager of the Beatles for 7,000 some pounds).
