Byron, MN (KROC AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff’s office is investigating a report from the Byron School District involving a young student who was frightened by two strange men.

The 10-year-old girl told her mother she was walking home from school Monday afternoon and decided to return to get something she had left behind. The girl says she saw two men sitting in a car in the parking lot and they began “waving her over.” The girl said she became scared and ran inside the building.

The girl’s mother reported it to the school district and the information was given to the sheriff’s office Wednesday.

The girl described the car as a possible gray Chevy Impala. She said the men were white and appeared to be 30 - 40 years old.

Anyone who may have information connected to the incident is asked to contact the sheriff’s office.
