It's a question I've been asking myself all month long.

It's bad enough we have to deal with shorter days and cooler temperatures, but lately we've had to put up with all this rain too!

Normally my weekends are filled with raking leaves and last-minute projects outdoors, but this entire month we've dealt with rain showers that have mucked up any plans to get anything accomplished outside.

So what gives? Thankfully, I have any answer for you.

After emailing Michael Karow from the Weather Eye Weather Center this same question, he assured me I'm not over-exaggerating when I say it's been an extremely wet fall!

In fact, according to the National Weather Service, they list the Top 10 Wettest Octobers for Rochester - and so far this is the worst it's been since 2009.

This year is ranked at number 6 all-time as the Rochester International Airport has received 4.42 inches of rain this October:

Typically, Rochester receives 2.24 inches of precipitation.

So yeah, at least I'm not the only one not getting anything accomplished out there... just means there's more time for Netflix and football!
