Remember the magic that was the 2018 Minnesota Vikings postseason run? It was the Minneapolis Miracle against the Saints that helped introduce the world to then 99-year-old Minnesota Vikings superfan Millie Wall. Millie, who at the time had always been a fan of the Vikings since they arrived in 1961, had never been to a game until then. It was a magical moment in a magical season. Millie's granddaughter and former high school classmate of mine, Ashley, announced on Twitter that Millie passed away today.

The Tweet from Millie's granddaughter stated:

It is with great sadness that I announce my Grandma Millie passed away earlier today at the age of 102. She was a remarkable woman who lived a beautiful life filled with faith, family, kindness, laughter, & love. She will be so missed by so many & she will never be forgotten

Millie got to attend the playoff game against the Saints, saw the Minneapolis Miracle, and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell gave her two tickets to the upcoming Super Bowl in Minneapolis that year too.

While it took Millie 57 years of Vikings football to get to a game, she was known to enjoy watching the games as only a Minnesota Vikings fan could, with a drink in one hand and what Stuff.Co called her yellow foam brick that she would throw at the TV when they would lose.
