2 Major Snowstorms Could Impact Holiday Travel in Minnesota & Wisconsin
If you are traveling for Thanksgiving or have loved ones coming to see you; you'll want to keep a close eye on the forecast. AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Brett Anderson says this storm will impact thousands across the midwest, "At this time, enough snow to create winterlike travel is anticipated from central and northeastern Colorado to much of Nebraska, northern Kansas, much of Iowa, southern Minnesota, Wisconsin, and northern Michigan."
At this time, The Weather Channel is predicting 5-10" of snow for southeast Minnesota starting Tuesday afternoon. The snow is expected to continue through Wednesday morning. You'll want to adjust your travel plans accordingly by leaving earlier or waiting until Wednesday when the roads are clear. And, depending on how long you plan to stay with your family or friends; a second snowstorm could impact your trip home. Another significant winter storm is forecasted for the day after Thanksgiving with 2-6 inches possible that day.
