"You've got to be kidding me, I love both those brands!"

Those were the exact words out of my wife's mouth when I told her the news yesterday because she's a huge fan of both Mossimo and Merona. Unfortunately, both will be gone.

According to an article from GO MN NEWS, the Minnesota home-based retailer has pledged to launch 12 new Target-only brands over the next two years as part of a re-aligning of its business following disappointing 2017 sales, and announced four more of those this past weekend.

In its news release, Target says it’s looking to “reinvent” its approach, with its new brands launched following extensive research of Target shoppers.

Some the new brands include:

  • A New Day
  • Goodfellow & Co
  • JoyLab
  • Project 62

My wife says she'll miss Merona for their tights and sweaters and other work-appropriate yet cute items. Plus she always counted Mossimo because they always had easy wearing t-shirts and tanks and other casual wear.
