Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A traffic accident at a rural Rochester intersection that has been the site of numerous wrecks over the years has left a Byron man with serious injuries.

The wreck happened around 3:00 PM Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 14 and 60th Ave NW.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a vehicle driven by 84-year-old James Daley had been driving north on 60th Ave. when he collided with a semi-truck on eastbound Highway 14.

The State Patrol report indicates Daley was taken to St Marys Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was reported in critical condition Wednesday morning.

The truck was driven by a Sparta, Wisconsin man who was not injured.

The intersection is in a 65-mph speed limit zone and is controlled by stop signs on 60th Ave.
