Happy International Women's Day! Today is all about celebrating women who have made an impact on our lives and I would say Amelia Earhart is a great example of this. Which is why I find it fitting that today it is being uncovered that scientists believe that Amelia Earhart's bones may have been discovered back in 1940 on a remote South Pacific Island and no one believed it until now.

The bones were examined when they were first discovered and were thought to be those of a man. A new forensic analysis, performed by a Tennessee researcher, was recently done on these bones and found otherwise. Professor emeritus of anthropology and director emeritus of the University of Tennessee's Forensic Anthropology Center said in a statement that "Until definitive evidence is presented that the remains are not those of Amelia Earhart, the most convincing argument is that they are hers." Pretty interesting stuff if you ask me! Maybe the mystery of what happened to Amelia Earhart is finally solved.
