Appeal Filed Against Rochester North Broadway Project Assessment
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester nursing home is formally challenging the city’s assessment for the North Broadway reconstruction project.
Samaritan Bethany has filed the assessment appeal in Olmsted County Court.
The $220,000 assessment was approved last month by the City Council. During a public hearing before the vote was taken a Bethany representative indicated an appeal would be filed if a lower assessment was not worked out.
The city is expected to soon award a bid for the project, which has an estimated cost of $19.2-million. The project includes the section of North Broadway between Civic Center Dr. and Silver Lake.
News update: Extended bike lanes in downtown Rochester.
