Bicyclist Seriously Injured In Northfield

Northfield, MN (KROC AM News) - A bicyclist was seriously injured Wednesday night after being hit by a car in Northfield.
The incident happened around 9:30 pm at the intersection of Highways 3 and 19 in downtown Northfield.
The State Patrol identified the bicyclist as 44-year-old Mark Ring of Northfield. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The State Patrol says Ring was riding his bike south on Highway 3 and made a left turn in front of the northbound car when he was hit.
The car was driven by 19-year-old William Matzek of Hastings. He was not injured.
