Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – A Blooming Prairie woman has been charged with using the money of a vulnerable adult for her personal expenses.

The case against 66-year-old Pamela Lujan was filed Monday in Olmsted County Court because the victim lives at a Rochester group home.

The investigation into Lujan’s activities began last year while she served as the victim’s legal guardian and handled her finances.

The criminal complaint says an investigator found “excessive personal expenses that do not appear to be for the benefit of the vulnerable adult.” The investigator determined the questionable expenses were made in 2017 and 2018 and totaled around $15,000.

Lujan has been ordered to make her first court appearance in August.
