If you've ever needed a reason to move to Mexico or Hawaii, the Winter of 2021-2022 would be the reason.  According to The Old Farmer's Almanac, the winter that is just ahead is going to be one of the longest and coldest for the entire country, including Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois.  In other words, you'd better dig out the winter coats and heavy parkas because we are in for a doozy!

The Old Farmer's Almanac just released their latest predictions for the 2021-2022 winter and unfortunately for everyone except Hawaii, it looks like we are all going to have a miserable few months.  Everyone in the South, except part of Florida, are going to need to wear rain ponchos all winter.  Everyone in the North will need to find their long underwear and start storing up logs for the fireplace because we are all going to be in a frozen state for quite a bit.

Brrr! The 2022 Old Farmer’s Almanac comes with a winter warning: Prepare for a “Season of Shivers.” This winter will be punctuated by positively bone-chilling, below-average temperatures across most of the United States. - The Old Farmer's Almanac, www.almanac.com

Get ready for the HUGE blizzard of January 2022

ICYMI, we had a story recently that predicated a great big blizzard in Minnesota that will start on January 20th.  That horrible bit of winter news was given to us by The Farmer's Almanac, which is NOT the same as The Old Farmer's Almanac.  What I did learn from reading that update is everyone should go to the store to stockpile canned goods and milk earlier in January because the blizzard is hitting on January 20th, lasting for a few days, and then we will get to the "my nose hairs are frozen" state in February.  #GoodTimes
