Chick-fil-A Restaurant Apparently Headed To Rochester
If you have a hankering for a hunk of chicken, it looks like you might soon have a new place to get some in Rochester in 2017.
That's because, according to a story in the Post-Bulletin, Chick-fil-A is set to build a new restaurant in the Med City next year.
The story says the national chicken sandwich chain, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is in the process of finalizing the paperwork needed to build a new restaurant in Rochester's Crossroads Shopping Center, near the Chipotle restaurant, and would have seating for 135 inside, with outdoor seating for 16.
This isn't the first time rumors of a Chick-fil-A coming to Rochester have surfaced, though. Last summer, the P-B had story that mentioned the chain was looking opening a restaurant in Rochester, which would be its 13th here in Minnesota.
This time, though, the story says the restaurant filed "development papers" last Friday with the city, which would seem to lend more credibility to the latest round of talk.
The story also said, if all goes according to plan, the new restaurant could start serving some of those famous chicken sandwiches here next spring.
