Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman has been ordered to perform 30 hours of community work service for a petty misdemeanor conviction stemming from a fatal traffic crash in August 2013.

20-year-old Brittany Preap was behind the wheel of a car that went into the median and then rolled down an embankment near the Highway 52 and Highway 63 interchange in Rochester. Her 19-year-old cousin, Andrew Preap, was killed in the crash.

The young woman was convicted of a Divided Highway Crossover Violation, but was acquitted of a Careless Driving charge during a trial held in May.
