Coors Light announced yesterday that they are encouraging people to ditch the normal Valentine's day traditions, flowers, jewelry, candy, and romantic dinners. Rather instead Coors Light wants you to instead choose to cuddle up with a fur-ever friend by adopting a dog.
"With almost half of the millennials planning to stay in on Valentine's Day, we wanted to help empower people to savor the day with Coors Light and a dog by their side," Chelsea Parker, marketing manager at Molson Coors, said in the press release.
So who is eligible for the $100? According to the press release, anyone of legal drinking age who resides in an eligible state (sorry CA, LA, PA, SD, TX, VA, and WV) and adopts a dog between February 4–21, 2020 can have Coors Light help cover their adoption fees.
So if you are over 21 text "COORS4k9" and a picture of their adoption receipt to 28130. After review, the first 1,000 eligible participants will be given $100 to apply toward their adoption fees. If you do take Coors Light up on their offer you'll also need a Venmo account to get paid.
