Another cool wet day is expected across southeast Minnesota with rain showers on and off and high temps only expected to reach the mid to upper 60s. Severe weather is possible this evening between 5:00-10:00 PM with the threat for damaging winds and large hail.

Olmsted County Emergency Management posted an update to Facebook this morning, "Periods of thunderstorms are expected across the area today into tonight. Some of the storms may be severe late this afternoon and evening with the potential for damaging winds, large hail, locally heavy rainfall, and possibly an isolated tornado. Cloud cover across the area today may hinder the severe storm threat so be sure to monitor the latest forecast."

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service shared a model simulated radar that shows the "bulk of the activity looks to be in two waves today with the heaviest and potentially severe storms arriving late this afternoon into this evening."
