27 Things All Minnesotans Have in Their Junk Drawer

If you grew up in Minnesota, there’s one thing you can count on finding in every home - the infamous junk drawer.

You know the one. Usually in the kitchen, sitting right under the counter like it owns the place. It’s the drawer you open when you don’t know where something belongs… and the drawer you avoid when you’re actually trying to find something important.

Mine? Oh, it’s a masterpiece of organized chaos. Dead batteries I keep meaning to recycle (but honestly, does anyone really know the right place to bring them?). A stack of receipts so old they might qualify as historic documents.

Somewhere in there is a lone screwdriver, and at least a dozen mystery keys I’m certain open something important… but what? No idea.

The thing is, every Minnesotan’s junk drawer is both completely unique and weirdly identical. Yours might have an outdated phone charger, a lone ketchup packet, or a half-used roll of duct tape. But I guarantee at least 20 of these 27 things are lurking in there right now.
