Fatal Shooting Near Chatfield

Chatfield, MN (KROC-AM News) - A team from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension was called to a rural Chatfield residence Wednesday evening to assist in the investigation into a fatal shooting.

A statement issued by Fillmore County Sheriff John DeGeorge says deputies responded to a 911 call at just before 7:30 PM involving an unresponsive male in need of medical assistance at a home along County Road 101 about 3-miles west of Chatfield.

The Sheriff indicated an officer found there had been a shooting and the adult male was deceased. He added there is no danger to the public and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
