Four Guns Recovered After Carjacking in Brooklyn Park

Brooklyn Park, MN (KROC-AM News) - Several days after a disturbance at a high school graduation ceremony in neighboring Brooklyn Center led to the arrest of three men and the seizure of two handguns, police in Brooklyn Park are reporting the arrests of three men and the seizure of four guns following an armed carjacking Friday night.

Brooklyn Park Police say officers responded shortly before 8 PM to report of a vehicle owner being assaulted and his vehicle stolen. The victim had been pistol-whipped and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

A short time later, Brooklyn Park officers spotted the stolen vehicle and attempted to stop it, but the driver sped away. The resulting pursuit ended in Brooklyn Center when the officers involved in the chase performed the so-called PIT maneuver and were able to disable the stolen vehicle.
