Four More Added To Olmsted County 100 MPH Club
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Four more motorists have been added to the Olmsted County 100 mph club.
One was riding a motorcycle and was clocked at 104 mph on Highway 52 near Oronoco and told the trooper who caught him he was late for work.
Another said he was on his way to St Marys Hospital to see a friend who had been in a recent traffic accident.
Another of the super speeders said he was on his way to Chicago to do some sightseeing.
Nearly 20 motorists have been caught driving over 100 mph in the Rochester area since April 1st.

SQUAD DRIVING SB NEAR THE 7000 BLOCK HWY 52. OBSERVED MOTORCYCLE DRIVING NB HWY 52 AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. RADAR ACTIVATED AND INDICATED 104 MPH IN 65 MPH ZONE. SQUAD TURNED AND CAUGHT UP TO MOTORCYCLE NB HWY 52 AND GAINED SPEED READINGS OF 83 MPH AND 84 MPH. DRIVER STATED HE WAS LATE TO WORK AND TRYING TO GET TO WORK ON TIME. DRIVER DID NOT HAVE A MOTORCYCLE ENDORSEMENT.
