George Strait’s Minnesota Show Postponed Until November
George Strait was supposed to play a rescheduled date in Minnesota this August, but that show has now been pushed back until November.
While some big country stars have either canceled their shows in Minnesota for both this year and next year (that'd be Reba McEntire), or postponed their Minnesota shows to 2022 (that'd be Kenny Chesney), George Strait IS still planning on playing here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes this year, but it'll now take place in November instead of August.
According to a post on the U.S. Bank website, we now know that King George WILL be taking the stage at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis this year (along with Little Big Town and Chris Stapleton), but it'll be happening on Saturday, November 13th, 2021.
With optimism around a return to live music growing, George Strait has announced that his stadium show at Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium will now take place on Saturday, November 13, 2021 with previously announced special guests Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town.
This is now the SECOND time King George's show here in Minnesota has been rescheduled; it was originally set for August 22nd of last summer (2020) at the home of the Vikings, but, of course, like everything else last year, it didn't happen. Instead, it was rescheduled for Saturday, July 31st of this year (2021.) And now, it's been pushed back again.
Now if you happen to have tickets, thinking you'd be seeing George in July, don't worry, they will still be good for the new November 13th show. But what about if you know you won't be available on November 13th? The U.S. Bank site has you covered: fans unable to attend are eligible for a refund at the original point of purchase for the next 30 days, the site says.
Meanwhile, Kenny Chesney's planned show at U.S. Bank Stadium this year has been postponed too-- but until 2022. (We're still waiting for word on exactly which date Kenny's No Shoes Nation will roll into the Bold North next year.)
Seeing as George has now had three separate dates for his show at U.S. Bank Stadium here in Minnesota, it got me thinking about other things of which us Minnesotans (okay, and those of us from Wisconsin, too) have multiple versions.
