A piece of history is going to be demolished. The incredibly beautiful mansion that was once home to the Pillsbury family (yes, the brains behind the Pillsbury company AND dough boy) is going to be destroyed. The house is nearly 100 years old and sits on Lake Minnetonka.

According to KARE 11, it was at one time the most expensive home in Minnesota. The massive home is 32,000 square feet and sits on 13-acres of property on the lake. There are 7 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, and nine fireplaces. The breathtaking work of art will be no more. KARE 11 says the city of Orono approved a permit to demolish the home by request of the current owner. My heart is literally breaking. Just look at all these incredible photos of the house:
