GPS Device Played Key Role in Rochester Area Man’s Arrest
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A GPS tracker installed on an all-terrain vehicle led to the recovery of the ATV and the arrest of a Rochester area man this week.
The Polaris Ranger was inside an enclosed trailer at a construction site in Fillmore County when it was stolen. The GPS device led authorities to a home in Genoa, where Olmsted County Sheriff's Deputies found and recovered the stolen property. Investigators also obtained a search warrant for the home in the rural area northwest of Rochester and found over 8 grams of methamphetamine that had been left in plain sight.
A spokesman says 54-year-old Todd Walker was arrested on stolen property and drug charges.
