Covid-19 is about to hit Grey Sloan Memorial! That's right, Grey's Anatomy's next season is going to focus on the pandemic, and I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see what they do with it. An executive producer for the show shared the news with Entertainment Weekly:

Every year, we have doctors come and tell us their stories, and usually, they’re telling their funniest or craziest stories. This year, it has felt more like therapy. The doctors come in and we’re the first people they’re talking to about these types of experiences they’re having. They are literally shaking and trying not to cry, they’re pale, and they’re talking about it as war — a war that they were not trained for. I feel like our show has an opportunity and a responsibility to tell some of those stories.

While the show has yet to begin shooting season 17, their writers are hard at work. The producer says they are working at keeping the humor and romance alive while sharing some of these heartbreaking stories.
