St Paul (KROC AM News) - Is Minnesota Gov Walz getting ready to relax more of the restrictions he put in place in March in response to the coronavirus pandemic?
We’ll find out Friday afternoon.
Walz has scheduled a 2:00 PM news conference and there is widespread speculation he will address the current restrictions on bars, restaurants, and fitness centers. Walz is expected to announce the beginning of 'Phase III' of the 'Stay Safe Minnesota plan' which includes indoor dining for restaurants and bars, increased capacity for retail, salons, tattoo, and barbershops, the potential for phased opening with restrictions for gyms and personal fitness centers, as well as allowing gatherings of 20 or less.
Listen to the live broadcast of the press conference on News-Talk 1340 KROC AM & 96.9 FM, on the KROC News website or with the KROC News mobile app.
Walz recently allowed limited outdoor service for bars and restaurants. That upset operators who had been planning on the resumption of indoor service with limited capacity. Fitness centers have also been complaining about the continued closure of their operations.
