Heads Up: Minnesota Drivers Are Targeted In Latest Texting Scam
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is warning Minnesota drivers of a phishing scam that is targeting Minnesota drivers.
According to a Facebook post from MnDOT, the agency was notified of a scam that has the scammer claiming to be MnDOT. This is not the case. If you receive a text message that looks like the one below, DON'T CLICK THE LINK.
This is a phishing scam, and the scammer is just looking for a way to access your information. MnDOT does not oversee driver's licenses, and they would never ask you for your personal information in a text message. So just delete it!
It is always important to never click on links that you aren't familiar with. If you don't know where they lead, don't click on them.
