Why do students do service projects? There's a ton of reasons, but Monday the 11th, it's because they feel a deep appreciation for those they're serving. Like those who served all of us in the military.

Monday from 5 - 7 PM at the John Marshall High School Cafeteria it's the annual Slices for Soldiers fundraiser put on by the JM American Studies

The price is $5 a slice, and the money raised will be used to buy hams and turkeys for local VA Hospitals and Veterans' homes over the holidays. Sure, they're only charging $5 a slice, but it's for our Veterans, please, if you can, throw in a few extra bucks.

In 2018 they raised enough money to give hams and turkeys to Veterans, their families and staff at VA Hospitals in Hastings, Minneapolis, and Tomah, WI.

John Marshall does a pretty amazing Veteran's Day program...check out 2018.
