Minnesota is home to six different professional sports teams, across several different leagues. And here are the 11 highest-paid pro athletes in the North Star State in 2025.

The Land of 10,000 Lakes can count six different professional sports franchises that make their home here in 2025. There are the Minnesota Vikings (NFL), the Minnesota Twins (MLB), the Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA), the Minnesota Wild (NHL), the Loons of Minnesota United FC (MLS), and the Minnesota Lynx (WNBA).

And, according to Axios Twin Cities, the 11 athletes on the highest-paid athletes in Minnesota list will combine to earn just under a staggering $328 million dollars this year.  Must be nice, right? That total would have been even higher, but one pro athlete who *would* have been on the list no longer plays here in our fair state.

So who made the list this year? Axios Twin Cities notes that there are five Vikings, four Timberwolves, and along with two members of the Twins. There would have been a fifth Timberwolves player, but Karl Anthony Towns was traded to the New York Knicks last June and doesn't play in Minnesota this year. (He would have topped the list this year if he was still playing here in the Gopher State!)
