Here’s What’s Being Built Along 7th Street and Valleyhigh Drive

If your travels through the Med City take you along 7th Street and Valleyhigh Drive (near Rochester Meats), you might have noticed even more construction taking place. But just what's being built there?

Well, as I first posted back in March, it's actually a Casey's General Store that's under construction on that intersection. A Post-Bulletin story from this spring said that this new Casey's location will give that chain its third location in Rochester.

But, interestingly enough, unless I missed it, there isn't a sign on that construction site that says what's being built. (And, it is entirely possible I missed the sign, so take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt...)

Wouldn't you want to start letting people know what's going to open on that site? I'd think it's never to early to start making an impression, right? And, besides, people are always curious about what's being built. (Well, at least I am, anyway!)

Most building sites do contain a sign that tells you what's being built, though. Like at the construction site off 16th Street at

Mayowood Road. Sure, there are a ton of other developments going in at that site, but the sign in the picture to the left pretty clearly states that a new Panera Bread is being built there. (Although the sign says it's opening 'late summer,' which, seems to have already passed us by.)
