Hey…there’s a BALLOON in my backyard! [VIDEO]

Friday evening in NW Rochester , especially those who live in close proximity to the Cimmeron Park ball diamond had quite a surprise as they looked out they're back doors after dinner.

An area church youth group were in the process of staging a fund raiser for
Mission 21. (Rochester Assembly of God Women's Ministry)

The familiar hot air balloon pilot & enthusiasts were called upon by the youth group
to put put a little LIFT into they're fund raising effort by creating a "Static Display" anchored with three vehicles and long lanyards to hold it down. By the looks of the crowd on hand as dusk approached I'd say it was a elevating success! Selected riders were allowed a short ride up, then gently brought back to earth.

Earlier, the Balloon Aviators needed an extra hand holding down the monsterous craft for a bit until solar-induced winds at ground level subsided. I was happy to lend a hand.They allowed me to snap a photo inside the balloon itself. Cool Stuff !  -Steve
