I have driven on this highway multiple times and never knew that it's actually the longest interstate in the entire country! Fun random fact for today. It's an interstate that passes through Albert Lea, Minnesota, so you have probably driven on it many times too.

This particular interstate goes from Boston to Seattle, so the entire length of the country. You could hop on this highway in Albert Lea and stay on the same road all the way to Boston or Seattle. The longest interstate in America is... I-90! Did you know that?

Technically interstates and highways are different so there are actually three highways that are longer than I-90, according to Business Insider. The next longest highway is US-30 which runs from Astoria, Oregon to Atlantic City, New Jersey. It doesn't go through Minnesota but it does go through central Iowa. Next on the list is US-6 goes from Provincetown, Massachusetts, to Bishop, California. That one also goes through central Iowa. And finally, the longest highway in the country is US-20 which goes from Boston to Newport, Oregon. This one... yep, you guessed it, also goes through central Iowa.

Minnesota is also home to a really cool ice skating loop! It looks super fun and should probably be added to your list of things to do this winter. It's about an hour away from Faribault in Maple Grove.

And don't forget to check out holiday events happening in the area to get in the holiday spirit!
