To be clear, Hot Pockets are not being recalled. Bremer Hot Stuffed Sandwiches are being recalled, but if I made that the headline, you'd probably do what I did..."Huh?"

Here's the deal. J and J Snack Foods Handhelds Corporation, outta Holly Ridge, North Carolina, announced a recall of about 56,600 pounds of "stuffed sandwich product." The company received complaints from eaters of the "stuffed sandwich product" saying they found clear plastic in the "stuffed sandwich product."

They were sent all over the country, and if you have 'em, toss 'em, or return them to the store where you bought them.

According to the USDA, the following have been recalled.

  • 9-oz. carton packages containing 2 stuffed pepperoni sandwiches with “Bremer CLASSIC PEPPERONI PIZZA Hot Stuffed Sandwiches” and best if used by dates of “AUG 12 2020” or “AUG 13 2020” on the label.
  • 9-oz. carton packages containing 2 ham and cheese sandwiches with “Bremer CLASSIC HAM & CHEESE Hot Stuffed Sandwiches” and best if used by dates of “AUG 12 2020” or “AUG 13 2020” on the label.

They'll have “EST. 27231” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
